How long does Window Film last?

The effective life of window film will vary by the type of film, type of glass, window construction, compass orientation of glass, and in which part of the world the building is located. All quality window films for residential and commercial use are warranted by the film manufacturers for a minimum of five years.

All the window films that we install are backed by a lifetime warranty or as long as you own the home. A more proficient film that we carry, Huper Optik, gives the option of a transferable warranty which can be passed on from one home owner to the next. Huper Optik does not use any aluminum or dyed products in their residential window film. Films with dyes can be broken down by ammonia but Huper Optik films have zero dyes and do not have this problem. With Huper Optik being a true Ceramic Window Film, you can have a clear film installed on all of your windows and still cut utility bills almost in half. Elite Sun Solutions chose the films we work with based on heat rejection, clarity, and longevity. We also leave all our customers with a care kit which includes a can of ammonia free Sprayway and a soft micro fiber cloth for cleaning.
